It seems I’m in the kitchen a lot. I’m either cooking, cleaning or gazing out the back window watching the birds, squirrels (one black, one red and a lots of gray), rabbit (just one at the moment but there have been many more at times), mother raccoon and her babies tumbling around as they follow her in the spring morning mist, wild turkeys and assorted other creatures. The kitchen window also gives me a view of the lawn and garden and, depending on the time of the year, provides a quick view of what needs to be attended to out there…and there is always something (usually many things) that needs attending!
I love to experiment with recipes and will be sharing many of my more successful attempts with you here on this blog.
I love old things….antiques…there is history to be learned in researching even the most mundane item. I am especially fond of aesthetic transferware from the late 1800s. And more recently, I’ve become a big fan of silver plate flatware that also dates to the latter part of the 19th Century.
I offer antique and vintage items for sale at my Etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/queenofsienna
